Jibiwa, a Rudi Education Scholarship Recipient Got Married!

Her beginnings

In Goma, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, there is a young girl named Jibiwa. Coming from a modest family, Jibiwa dreamed of becoming a computer scientist from a young age, but her family’s financial resources were limited.

In 2012, a ray of light came to illuminate Jibiwa’s path: she was chosen to receive the scholarship of the Rudi International organization, through its Rudi Education program. It was a magical moment for the young girl, then in 3rd primary, who suddenly saw her dreams take shape.

Thanks to the invaluable support and guidance of the organization, Jibiwa was able to continue her studies without worrying about tuition fees. Each year, she climbed the ladder of education with determination and perseverance. And today, 12 years later, she is a final-year college student in Computer Science at ISC Goma, achieving a feat that few would have thought possible.

Her marriage

Rudi Education is more than delighted to see the progress and success of Jibiwa. She got married last weekend in Goma and wanted to invite a representative of the organization to witness this great day. To see her now getting married, beaming with happiness, is the ultimate proof that investing in education is paying off. Jibiwa has become a symbol of hope and success for her community, inspiring young people to pursue their dreams despite obstacles.

A fine example

In a community where girls find themselves pregnant before they reach the age of majority and are still in secondary school, we are proud as an organization that Jibiwa has chosen to wait and do things properly, according to our recommendations during the regular after school sessions with all our beneficiaries. All the other pupils and students in our scholarship program will take her as a model and will do everything to get married, without breaking the steps, thus making their parents proud.

And so it is that the story of Jibiwa, the trailblazing scholar, continues to inspire and motivate all who cross her path. By the grace of God, thanks to her courage, determination and the support of Rudi’s generous donors and volunteers, Jibiwa now embodies a bright future, where all dreams are now allowed.
